She married Johann Schallin Sr. on 1 January 1869, in Schivelbein, Pomerania, Prussia, Germany. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 7 daughters. She died on 21 August 1923, in Lotts Creek, Kossuth, Iowa, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Lotts Creek, Kossuth, Iowa, United States.
