Name Meaning

English: variant of Deeming, a nickname for a judge from Middle English deming ‘judgement, adjudication; verdict; the act of conducting a trial’ (Old English dēmung ‘judgement, act of judging’), hence a metonymic occupational name for a judge or for an arbiter of minor disputes. Compare Deem , Deamer and Doman .
