When Christian Hansen Christiansen was born on 24 July 1805, in Tandslet, Slesvig, Denmark, his father, Hans Christian Christiansen, was 28 and his mother, Kirsten Marie Peders Datter, was 24. He married Ida Sophie Iversen on 5 April 1834, in Lysabild, Slesvig, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Denmark in 1845 and Tandslet, Als Sønder, Sønderborg, Denmark in 1855. He died on 13 June 1881, at the age of 75.
