When John Jenne was born on 5 July 1797, his father, Elisha Jenne, was 32 and his mother, Elizabeth Peckham, was 31. He married Mercy Bartlett on 7 February 1822, in Charlton, Charlton, Saratoga, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He died on 4 November 1848, at the age of 51, and was buried in Cook, Illinois, United States.
