1905 · The Movie Theater

The world’s first movie theater was located in Pittsburgh. It was referred to as a nickelodeon as at the time it only cost 5 cents to get in. 

1953

President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed a law recognizing that Ohio was admitted into the Union, since it had previously slipped through the cracks. The official date of admittance was agreed upon as March 1, 1803, ratified as of May 19, 1953.

1999 · Dedication of the Columbus Ohio Temple

On September 4, 1999, The Columbus Ohio Temple was dedicated by President Gordon B. Hinckley making it the 60th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
