He married Mary Corlett on 20 December 1766, in Braddan, Isle of Man. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He died on 13 May 1793, in Douglas, Isle of Man, at the age of 52, and was buried in Onchan, Isle of Man.
