He married Maria Clara Perujoaniz Urquizu on 7 January 1777, in Santa María, Etxarri Aranatz, Nafarroa, Spain. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 11 January 1828, in his hometown, at the age of 75.
