When Margaret Aikens was born on 27 June 1755, in Hardwick, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, her father, Solomon Aikens, was 29 and her mother, Dorcas Whitcomb, was 26. She married Thomas Swift on 4 May 1779, in Barnard, Windsor, Vermont, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 6 daughters. She died on 10 December 1803, at the age of 48.
