He married Olivia Amanda Peterson on 1 November 1906, in Elko, Nevada, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He lived in Brant Township, Bruce, Ontario, Canada in 1901 and Algoma, Ontario, Canada in 1911. He died on 3 January 1972, in Covina, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 89, and was buried in Park, Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada.
