When Truman Guild was born about 14 November 1850, in Mallorytown, Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, Canada, his father, Hermon Guild, was 48 and his mother, Abigail Camp Polly, was 45. He married Emily Ackerman on 31 July 1880, in Sanilac Township, Sanilac, Michigan, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Assiniboia, Lake of the Rivers No. 72, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1906 and Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw No. 161, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1911. He died on 13 June 1917, in Saskatchewan, Canada, at the age of 66, and was buried in Blue Hill Cemetery, Briercrest, Redburn No. 130, Saskatchewan, Canada.

1868 · Impeach the President!

Caused by many crimes and breaking the Tenure of Office Act, Many Senators and House Representatives became angry with President Johnson and began discussions of his Impeachment. After a special session of Congress, the Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House and then the Senate. Making Andrew Johnson the first President to be Impeached.

Name Meaning

Scottish (Angus and Perthshire): apparently a nickname for someone who played a prominent part in a medieval guild. It may, however, be a Scottish variant of Gould .
