He married Rhoda Perrine on 28 July 1842, in Orange, Indiana, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Missouri, United States in 1870 and Jefferson Township, Cedar, Missouri, United States in 1900. He died on 30 October 1902, in Cedar, Missouri, United States, at the age of 86, and was buried in Alder Cemetery, Stockton, Cedar, Missouri, United States.
