When Gerrit Geurtsen van Binsbergen was born on 17 October 1735, in Neder-Betuwe, Gelderland, Netherlands, his father, Geurt Gerritsen van Binsbergen, was 33 and his mother, Margareta Johanna Sophia van Lunen, was 28. He married Seijdtje Van Leunen on 3 December 1758, in Ochten, Gelderland, Netherlands. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 7 daughters. He died on 18 December 1802, in Dodewaard, Gelderland, Netherlands, at the age of 67.
