When Sarah Morey was born on 15 March 1783, in Whately, Franklin, Massachusetts, United States, her father, John Morey, was 30 and her mother, Sarah Turner, was 22. She married William Cobb Pratt in 1802, in Greenwich, Greenwich, Washington, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 23 December 1849, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States, at the age of 66.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.

1796 · Cleaveland is Founded

Cleaveland was founded by surveyors of the Connecticut Land Company after being sent out to lay out townships and a capital city. It was named after the lead surveyor, General Moses Cleaveland. He then oversaw the design and partial construction of the Public Square in what is now the downtown area.
