He lived in District 14, Grainger, Tennessee, United States in 1870 and Civil District 9, Claiborne, Tennessee, United States in 1880. He died on 27 September 1901, in Overton, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 59, and was buried in Speck Cemetery, Overton, Tennessee, United States.

1862 · Battle of Shiloh
The battle of Shiloh took place on April 6, 1862 and April 7, 1862. Confederate soldiers camp through the woods next to where the Union soldiers were camped at Pittsburg Landing on the Tennessee River. With 23,000 casualties this was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War up to this point.
