When Christian Rudolf was christened on 10 October 1748, in Rietheim, Aargau, Switzerland, his father, Heinrich Rudolf, was 28 and his mother, Magdalena Rudolf, was 28. He married Elisabeth Knecht on 10 October 1772. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 29 January 1812, at the age of 63.
