He married Isabel Pearce on 28 May 1753, in Hadley, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 4 September 1825, in New Salem, Franklin, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 98.

1781 · The First Constitution
