When Rachel Graves was born in 1835, in Pereaux, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada, her father, Phineas W Graves, was 30 and her mother, Eliza Jane Johnson, was 25. She married Levi Rand on 31 March 1855. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She lived in Canning, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada for about 10 years and Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1901. She died on 12 April 1907, at the age of 72, and was buried in Blomidon, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada.
