He married Maria Clotilde Morales Y Velasquez on 19 February 1876, in Peñuelas, Peñuelas, Puerto Rico. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Santo Domingo, Peñuelas, Puerto Rico in 1910. He died on 5 November 1929, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, at the age of 79.
