He lived in Hartwick, Otsego, New York, United States for about 15 years. He died on 4 November 1865, in Webster, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Old Hartwick and Robinson Cemetery, Otsego, New York, United States.
