He married Ingar Truedsdotter on 23 June 1771, in Gyllebo, Genarp, Bara, Malmöhus, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 7 October 1793, in Blentarp, Torna, Malmöhus, Sweden, at the age of 53.
