He married Cayetana Mendoza Ramos on 14 August 1937, in Nuestra Señora de la Natividad, Panao, Pachitea, Huánuco, Peru. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 29 December 1982, in Huánuco, Peru, at the age of 92, and was buried in Huánuco, Peru.
