William Penn was born on 10 May 1785, in Virginia, United States as the son of Martha Rawlings. He married Abigail Wilson on 5 August 1813, in Franklin, Georgia, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Chattooga, Georgia, United States in 1860 and Georgia, United States in 1870. He died on 14 December 1870, in Trion, Chattooga, Georgia, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Trion, Chattooga, Georgia, United States.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.

1788 · Becomes the 10th state

On June 25, 1788 Virginia became the 10th state.
