When David Paul Pool was born about 28 February 1816, in East Feliciana, Louisiana, United States, his father, David Mumford Pettipool, was 62 and his mother, Margaret Anderson, was 41. He married Mitilda Caroline Brown on 1 June 1837, in St. Tammany, Louisiana, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Brownsboro, Henderson, Texas, United States in 1880 and Justice Precinct 1, Henderson, Texas, United States in 1900. He died about 8 February 1903, at the age of 86, and was buried in Henderson, Texas, United States.

1819 · Panic! of 1819

With the Aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars the global market for trade was down. During this time, America had its first financial crisis and it lasted for only two years. 

1820 · Making States Equal

The Missouri Compromise helped provide the entrance of Maine as a free state and Missouri as a slave state into the United States. As part of the compromise, slavery was prohibited north of the 36°30′ parallel, excluding Missouri.

1844 · German Immigration to Texas

Over 7,000 German immigrants arrived in Texas. Some of these new arrivals died in epidemics; those that survived ended up living in cities such as San Antonio, Galveston, and Houston. Other German settlers went to the Texas Hill Country and formed the western portion of the German Belt, where new towns were founded: New Braunfels and Fredericksburg.
