He married Catherine Buster on 12 February 1839, in Pulaski, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Macon, Macon, Missouri, United States in 1850 and Jackson Township, Macon, Missouri, United States for about 10 years. He died on 28 December 1886, in Atlanta, Macon, Missouri, United States, at the age of 76, and was buried in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Caldwell Township, Callaway, Missouri, United States.
