He lived in Alberta, Canada in 1916 and Victoria Settlement, Smoky Lake County, Alberta, Canada in 1921. He died on 18 May 1923, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, at the age of 80, and was buried in Innisfree, County of Minburn No. 27, Alberta, Canada.
