He lived in Illinois, United States in 1860 and Bingham, Idaho, United States in 1920. He registered for military service in 1862. He died on 10 March 1923, in Goshen, Bingham, Idaho, United States, at the age of 77, and was buried in Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho, United States.
