He married Alsey Evaline Welton on 11 March 1834, in Saint Charles, Missouri, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Blue Township, Jackson, Missouri, United States in 1850. He died on 19 April 1857, in Independence, Jackson, Missouri, United States, at the age of 46, and was buried in Pitcher Cemetery, Blue Township, Jackson, Missouri, United States.
