When Phillip Hardy was born on 2 February 1719, in Bradford, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, his father, Benjamin Hardy, was 39 and his mother, Rebeckah Bond, was 34. He married Hannah Tenney on 22 December 1743, in Bradford, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 19 November 1806, in Pelham, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States, at the age of 87.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
