When Abigail Adams Hobart was born on 7 June 1793, in Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States, her father, Col. Aaron Hobart Jr., was 28 and her mother, Susanna Adams, was 26. She married John Stratton Champney on 14 June 1827. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 15 January 1844, in her hometown, at the age of 50, and was buried in Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States.
