1890 · The Sherman Antitrust Act

This Act tried to prevent the raising of prices by restricting trade. The purpose of the Act was to preserve a competitive marketplace to protect consumers from abuse.

1890 · Woman's Suffrage

An organization formed in favor of women's suffrages. By combining the National Woman Suffrage Association and the American Woman Suffrage Association, the NAWSA eventually increased in membership up to two million people.
