When Hezekiah Terrell was born on 15 August 1735, in Caroline, Virginia, United States, his father, John Terrell Sr, was 31 and his mother, Elizabeth Oxford Harrison, was 25. He married Phoebe Martin about 1758. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He died before November 1770, in Granville District, North Carolina, British Colonial America.

1758 · Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon Plantation was the home of George Washington. It started off as 2,000 acres and was later expanded to 8,000 acres. The house itself started off as a six room building then got extended to twenty-one rooms.

1767 · Tryon Palace

Built on August 26, 1767, the Tryon Palace became the capitol building for North Carolina. The building was named after William Tryon a British officer and colonial official.
