Lars Jönsson Sandberg was born on 25 August 1800, in Genarp, Bara, Malmöhus, Sweden as the son of Jöns Christophersson and Bereta Larsdotter. He married Elna Jönsdotter on 21 June 1828, in Anderslöv, Malmöhus, Sweden. He lived in Sankt Maria, Ystad, Malmöhus, Sweden in 1840 and Ystad, Malmöhus, Sweden in 1881. In 1825, his occupation is listed as skomakaregesällen in Skurup, Malmöhus, Sweden. He died on 22 November 1883, in Ystad Sankt Petri, Malmöhus, Sweden, at the age of 83.
