History: Jean Bertholet from Château-d’Oex in Switzerland married Suzanne de Harcourt in Barbelroth, Germany in 1712, died in Oley, PA, in 1757. Pierre Bertholet from Château-d’Oex in Switzerland married Elizabeth … probably in PA c. 1725. — This surname is listed in the (US) National Huguenot Society's register of qualified Huguenot ancestors and also in the similar register of the Huguenot Society of America.
