He married Kirsten Marie Nielsen on 11 March 1870, in Rakkeby, Børglum, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 7 daughters. He lived in Vrejlev, Børglum, Hjørring, Denmark for about 15 years and Rakkeby, Børglum, Hjørring, Denmark for about 31 years. He died on 26 February 1917, at the age of 74, and was buried in Hjorring Sankt Catherainæ, Hjørring, Nordjylland, Denmark.

1847 · Casino Theatre (Copenhagen)

The Casino Theatre was built as an entertainment center by Georg Carstensen but was converted into a theatre in 1848. After many years of never gaining popularity, it was closed in 1937 and demolished in 1960.
