When Soren Madsen was born on 19 August 1844, his father, Mads Sorensen, was 38 and his mother, Ane Marie Olesen, was 34. He married Johan Smolik on 24 April 1872. He lived in Ejstrup, Vrads, Skanderborg, Denmark in 1845. He died on 9 February 1846, at the age of 1.
