When Gunhild Tordsdatter Valbjørg was born about 1483, in Tjerne, Hedmark, Norway, her father, Tord Aslaksson Smør, was 29 and her mother, Birgitte Henningsdatter Tjerne, was 19. She married Tore Skiaker about 1525, in Norway. She died in 1563, in Hedmark, Norway, at the age of 81.
