Jantje Wolters Kroon was born in 1757, in Veendam, Groningen, Netherlands as the daughter of Wolter Gosses Kroon and Aaltje Jans. She married Nanne Lippes Kroon on 8 February 1778, in Wildervank, Groningen, Netherlands. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. She died on 17 January 1826, in her hometown, at the age of 69.
