When Reuben Westmoreland was born in 1770, in Dinwiddie, Virginia, United States, his father, Robert Joseph Westmoreland, was 30 and his mother, Martha Shores, was 22. He married Rebecca Jane Jackson in 1796. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He registered for military service in 1812. He died in August 1845, in Coweta, Georgia, United States, at the age of 75.
