When Peter Iseli was born on 16 July 1717, in Hasle bei Burgdorf, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Hans Iseli, was 24 and his mother, Elsbeth Schweizer, was 22. He married Verena Locher about 1731. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died on 27 November 1786, in his hometown, at the age of 69.
