They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Greene, Missouri, United States in 1880 and Nodaway, Missouri, United States in 1890. He died on 3 March 1882, in Holt, Missouri, United States, at the age of 62, and was buried in Burr Oak Church Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri, United States.

Altered form of English Deborde , a surname of French origin.

French: habitational name, with the preposition de ‘from’, for someone from a place called Bord, in Creuse, or perhaps, from either of two places called Bort, in Puy-de-Dôme and Corrèze. Alternatively, a topographic name for someone who lived at the side of a road, river, or similar, from bord ‘border, edge’.
