When Rufus A. Junkins was born on 28 January 1825, in Wakefield, Carroll, New Hampshire, United States, his father, Rufus Junkins, was 27 and his mother, Sarah "Sally" Hayes, was 21. He married Nancy M Thurston on 13 July 1845. He lived in Charlestown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States in 1860 and Somerville, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States for about 30 years. He died on 26 April 1908, in New Hampshire, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Hayes Cemetery on Rt 75, Milton, Strafford, New Hampshire, United States.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations.
