When Manilal Mohandas Gandhi was born on 28 October 1892, in Rajkot, Tonk, Rajasthan, India, his father, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was 23 and his mother, Kasturbai Makhanji Kapadia, was 23. He married Sushila Mashruwala in 1927. He lived in Inanda, Natal, South Africa in 1912. He died on 5 April 1956, in Phoenix, Durban, Natal, South Africa, at the age of 63.
