When Else Rasmussen was born on 27 June 1846, in Nørre Tranders, Ålborghus, Denmark, her father, Rasmus Christensen, was 32 and her mother, Dorthe Marie Jensdatter, was 27. She married Soren Pedersen Peen on 25 January 1879, in Gudum, Ålborghus, Denmark. She lived in Engum, Hatting, Vejle, Denmark in 1860 and Nørre Tranders, Fleskum, Ålborg, Denmark in 1870. She died on 16 February 1881, at the age of 34, and was buried in Gudum, Ålborghus, Denmark.

1847 · Casino Theatre (Copenhagen)
The Casino Theatre was built as an entertainment center by Georg Carstensen but was converted into a theatre in 1848. After many years of never gaining popularity, it was closed in 1937 and demolished in 1960.

Denmark becomes a constitutional monarchy. A two-chamber parliament is established.
1859 · Copenhagen Waterworks
The Copenhagen Waterworks was the first waterworks in Denmark and served the community until 1951. It was one of the first buildings to be built outside Copenhagen's old city walls.
