John Sylvester Bruner was born on 5 April 1852, in Ruthven, Essex, Ontario, Canada as the son of Peter and Jane Apcott. He married Catherine Ellen Stewart on 2 March 1873, in Leamington, Essex, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Gosfield, Essex, Canada West, British North America for about 10 years and Essex, Ontario, Canada in 1901. He died on 15 July 1910, in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States, at the age of 58, and was buried in Ruthven, Essex, Ontario, Canada.

1867 · Ontario Founded

1868 · Impeach the President!

Caused by many crimes and breaking the Tenure of Office Act, Many Senators and House Representatives became angry with President Johnson and began discussions of his Impeachment. After a special session of Congress, the Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House and then the Senate. Making Andrew Johnson the first President to be Impeached.
