When Ingibjörg Guðmundsdóttir was born on 26 November 1799, in Klasbarði, Rangárvallasýsla, Southern, Iceland, her father, Guðmundur Einarsson, was 27 and her mother, Guðrun Jonsdóttir, was 26. She married Jón Jónsson on 21 November 1825, in Vestmannaeyjar, Southern, Iceland. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 7 daughters. She died on 29 March 1883, in Iceland, at the age of 83, and was buried in Vestmannaeyjar, Southern, Iceland.
