When Pulaloa Mataituli was born about 1659, in Salimu, Samoa, her father, Aloese Mataituli, was 29 and her mother, Foaga Amanono, was 27. She married Ulualofaiga Talamaivao Una in 1753, in Fagaloa, Palauli, Savai'i, Samoa. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. She died about 1823, in Samoa, at the age of 166.
