When Sigríður Ögmundsdóttir was born in 1758, in Strönd, Rangárvallasýsla, Southern, Iceland, her father, Ögmundur Hognasson, was 26 and her mother, Salvor Sigurdsdottir, was 25. She married Brynjolfur Gudmundsson about 1779, in Iceland. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. She died after 1816.
