He lived in Charlestown, Sullivan, New Hampshire, United States in 1850 and Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States for about 20 years. He died on 26 January 1905, in Allegheny Township, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 76, and was buried in Hardin, Ohio, United States.

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations.
