Verena Kohli was born on 11 March 1785, in Gsteig bei Gstaad, Bern, Switzerland as the daughter of Jakob Köhli and Verena Schindler. She married Peter Schenk on 17 November 1820, in Eggiwil, Bern, Switzerland. She died on 18 October 1841, at the age of 56, and was buried in Eggiwil, Bern, Switzerland.
