He married Mary Eliza Ferguson in 1821, in Barre, Orleans, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Medina, Township of Medina, Lenawee, Michigan, United States in 1840 and Seneca Township, Lenawee, Michigan, United States in 1850. He registered for military service in 1812. He died in 1859, at the age of 66, and was buried in Canandaigua Cemetery, Medina, Township of Medina, Lenawee, Michigan, United States.
